Sangria and Tapas: Our Journey through the Cork Oaks

Thank you to the Natural Gallery fans who came to our book and Dehesa/Montada exhibition launch on Thursday 9th May.

We enjoyed a lovely sunny evening so we cracked open the sangria and tapas to welcome the guests.  It was a fab mix of raptor biologists, fellow artists and friends and family from Solva.

Wonderful to see Rob’s old mate Carl Jones of Mauritius and Durrell Trust fame along with fellow artists, meadow friends, and friends and family from Solva.

Amanda and Rob’s book, “Our Journey through the Cork Oaks: around the savanna habitats of Portugal and Spain in 30 days” is available now to purchase on this website or through Amazon or Ingram Spark for @£15 but you can still come in and buy a signed copy in person for the bargain price of £10.

Thank you to those who have bought the book already and some of the paintings and photographs.  This has made it possible for the Natural Gallery to make a donation of £227 (10% of these proceeds in May) a sum of £227 to the Vulture Conservation Foundation to help them with their deserving projects looking after charismatic wildlife species in Portugal and Spain.  And VCF have written a wonderful blog post about this.

If you buy a copy of the book you can enjoy something of the special habitats which form a stronghold for vultures and help us make further contributions to looking after them.  And there are QR code links to all the paintings for info and ordering any prints or remaining originals online

We plan to run the exhibition until 15 June.
