Cuthie the Crow

Cuthbert was the runt from a brood of four African Pied Crows nesting on one of Eskom’s electricity poles along the main Cape Town to Joburg railway line which crossed Biesjiesfontein.  When he joined my menagerie he had lots of pink skin, a scrawny black bib, watery eyes and a weak but incessant begging call.
