A new landscape and wildlife art exhibition opens Friday, 18th April, at The Natural Gallery, Rookwood Studios, Solva. Celebrating the beauty of the natural world, ‘Springtime’ will feature a range of works by 18 artists, illustrators and photographers.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new artists. Ian McDonald makes some lovely Indian-inspired prints of Pembs; Philippa Mitchell is producing some exceptional bird and living habitat paintings of the area; Andy Holcroft from The Bug Farm makes stunning photographs of coastal landscapes and macro views of bugs; Ella Starling at the outset of her career already has a great following of fans and teaches life drawing in St Davids; and Grahame Hurd-Wood, who trained at the Royal Academy, brings some of his exceptional colour-abstracted Pembrokeshire landscapes to the gallery.
We are also saying a very sad goodbye as we lost our wonderful friend Ian Bullock to a sudden illness this year. Ian has been a fabulous support to us and he is not fully recognised for his art and contributions over his intrepid life. We are glad to be working with his wife, Gill, to make his work more known and possibly find ways of continuing his legacy. So we will be saying more about this in the coming days.

Original works can be viewed on the wall, with respective biographies that draw attention to a host of other works by each artist, which have now been made available online through our professional fine art printing business, Rookwood Art & Print.
